Manus

Manus is an autonomous AI agent platform launched in March 2025 by Butterfly Effect Technology. Unlike traditional chatbots, Manus autonomously executes complex end-to-end tasks: web research, writing, data analysis, code generation and file management. The agent plans its actions, browses the web, executes code in sandbox environments and delivers concrete results. Tasks run asynchronously in the cloud, allowing multiple missions to run in parallel. Manus uses a credit system where consumption varies by task complexity. Acquired by Meta in late 2025 for over $2 billion, making it one of the most notable AI agent platforms.
