Meshy

Meshy is an artificial intelligence platform that generates production-ready 3D models from text or images in seconds. Based in Silicon Valley with a team from MIT, Harvard, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Google, Meshy specializes in generative AI for 3D assets and has already produced over 20 million models.

The Text to 3D feature generates a wide variety of models (props, environments, organic shapes like characters and animals) from text prompts, up to 10 times faster than manual methods. Image to 3D converts images into textured 3D models. Text to Texture applies 4K PBR textures to existing models with style control.

Meshy-2, the advanced version, offers improved quality via the web app. Additional features include automatic rigging, a library of over 500 animations (walk, jump, fight), bulk generation (50+ tasks), multilingual prompts, remeshing, post-processing, and export to FBX, GLB, OBJ, STL, 3MF, USDZ, and BLEND.

Integration with Unity, Blender, and game engines is native. Meshy supports VR/AR optimization and 3D printing. The only 3D AI tool featured in the A16Z 2024 survey, Meshy offers private licensing for commercial use with IP protection and enterprise-grade features.
